NIDWAN, in collaboration with the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) and the support of the PAWANKA Fund, conducted 10-weeks Virtual Course on Climate Change entitled ‘Discussion on Climate Change (CC), Indigenous Youth, and Indigenous People with Disabilities’. The course was designed to engage and capacitate the indigenous youths for advocacy and sensitize them on the emerging discourse of Climate Change, its impacts, and link that with the Indigenous Peoples perspective. The virtual course consisted of 20 sessions integrating various topics related to the understanding of CC information, its relations to the IPs, involvement of youths, women, People with Disabilities and other minority groups along with various initiatives, treaties, policies, and mechanisms under the CC at global, regional and national levels.
