National, Regional (Asia Pacific) and Global Declaration on Indigenous Women With Disabilities

2nd WCIW is monumental and historic to 28 million Indigenous Women with Disabilities globally. For the first time in history, Indigenous Women with Disabilities are claiming their spaces in the global level and NIDWAN in the front line with strategic intervention on 2WCIW through side-events and Political Declaration on all 3 levels: National, Regional (Asia Pacific), and Global Level. This declaration is specifically on Indigenous Women with Disabilities which resonates with their ground realities from all around the globe and demands for concrete and effective measures to be taken to address their plight. The declarations are the product of national-level consultation with Indigenous People with Disabilities representatives from 7 provinces of Nepal and regional-level consultation with representatives of Indigenous Youth and Women with Disabilities from 8 different countries i.e. Pakistan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Philippines and Nepal. The consultations enabled to dig out the ground realities, struggles and the violence faced by Indigenous Women with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.
