Interim Impact Assessment of COVID-19 to Underrepresented (Indigenous, Dalit and Madhesi) People with Disabilities in Nepal

There is an evident lack of disaggregated data on underrepresented groups in general but more so in the COVID due to which they are always overlooked by the state mechanism in providing relief and support. Bearing this in mind NIDWAN conducted a research on ‘Interim Impact Assessment of COVID-19 to Underrepresented (Indigenous, Dalit and Madhesi) People with Disabilities in Nepal’ with 305 respondents from all 7 Provinces. This study aims to examine the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic on the Peoples with Disabilities belonging to the underrepresented groups such as Indigenous Peoples, Indigenous Women, Dalit and Madheshi community. Specifically, it explores the effect of the pandemic on social and economic dimensions of the Indigenous, Dalit and Madheshi Peoples/Women with Disabilities.
