NIDWAN functions as a convener organization and provides the secretariat to the Network by liaising, coordinating, and facilitating SDG-related events at the federal, provincial, and local levels. NIDWAN has been instrumental in mainstreaming marginalized groups’ voices and issues with the aspiration of “Leaving No One Behind”, “Reaching the Furthest Far”, and framing an ‘Intersectional lens’ into Nepal’s SDG framework. As a secretariat of the SDG National Network, NIDWAN, including all the NCC, provides phase-wise trainings, advocacy, and lobbying with the GoN and other multi-stakeholders, submits a report to the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), and participates in different SDG-related forums from national to global spheres. In addition, it has published SDG resource books, VNR Reports, and documents, and has engaged in SDG discourse with relevant stakeholders and rights holders.
