Dr. Shree Kumar Maharjan

Dr. Shree Kumar Maharjan has more than 15 years of professional experience in the fields of agriculture and food security, climate change and environment, climate-smart agriculture, human rights and Indigenous Peoples’ rights, rural institutions and rural development. He belongs to Newar Indigenous Nationalities in Nepal. He completed his PhD in International Cooperation Studies from the Graduate School of International Development and Cooperation at Hiroshima University, Japan. Prior to his Ph.D. He gained his professional experiences in South and Southeast Asia particularly in the countries: Thailand, Nepal, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, and Bangladesh while working with multiple organizations including Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) as a Program Coordinator and later as Deputy Secretary-General. At present, he has been engaged in multiple research, development activities and rejoined the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP). He is motivated to carry out research on multiple fields and has published multiple papers in international journals including Climate and Development, Development in Practice, and Ecology, Development and Sustainability.

Chhori Laxmi Maharjan, PsyD, completed her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2019. She specialized in SandPlay therapy for children with trauma. Her career in psychology began in 2005 serving adults and children living with HIV/AIDS. From the beginning of her career, she felt a special connection with children experiencing family separation and associated with childhood traumas. That led her to join Nepal Youth Foundation in 2006 as a psychologist. Now she is the director and principal psychologist of Ankur Counseling and Training Center within Nepal Youth Foundation. She provides psychological counselling services to individuals on a daily basis. She also leads training and other outreach programs provided by Ankur in the areas of child development, adolescents health, peer-counselling, parenting, teacher’s training, psychological first aid, self-care, among others. She has been offering clinical supervision to mental health professionals.
Samriddhi Rana Thapa Magar

Samriddhi Rana Thapa Magar

Samridhi Rana, Thapa is currently working in the disability and ageing population. She has led a community-based rehabilitation program with a leading NGO in Nepal and has experience in developing services for the ageing population focusing on a social enterprise model. She also serves as an independent Disability Inclusion Consultant. As a consultant, she offers training and consulting services on disability-inclusive development, sensitization activities and holistic rehabilitation for sustainable social reintegration. Samridhi is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Australia.
