Crisis Relief and Emergency

NIDWAN Crisis and Relief is an effort to serve and support the people in the time and place where it matters the most. NIDWAN provides support for individual needs such as building material, assistive devices and medication. NIDWAN also assists collective needs with building community houses, peer counselling for the survivors and training for stakeholders and Peoples with Disabilities after the disaster. We collect data, facts and information on People with Disabilities and Indigenous Peoples affected to assist in relief, recovery and rehabilitation.

In case of emergency, NIDWAN also assists individuals experiencing difficulties with medical expenses and financial support so that they can live a dignified life. Especially during the 2015 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic, NIDWAN played a vital role to address the people in need.
