2015 Earthquake Activities

The 7.6 magnitudes massive earthquake that struck Nepal still remains as one of the worst times for the country, which killed nearly 9,000 people and injured nearly 22,000, making thousands of people disabled. Realizing the critical situation of People with Disabilities and recognizing their immediate needs of food, shelter and basic health requirements NIDWAN came to life from that to accommodate the massive needs of People with Disabilities. In the year 2015, NIDWAN directly served more than 500+ People with Disabilities relief on food, assistive devices, health facilities, medical support and more to address the emergency situation and their needs. NIDWAN also built 120+ temporary houses in the most affected areas and 2 community shelters in Lamjung District.
