"Nothing About Us Without Us, Towards Leaving No One Behind"

21st Session of UNFCCC Conference of the State Parties COP 21, 16-18 September 2015 

Ms. Pratima Gurung, President of NIDWAN took part in the 21st session of the UNFCCC, COP-21, 16-18th September 2015 at Chiang Mai. She represented People with Disabilities from Asia in the event, pitching forward CC and its regard to People with Disabilities who experience severe indirect impacts and are critical concerns that have remained unnoticed. So looking through the lens of disability is a crucial effort to address the issue for discussion in the coming days. Ms. Pratima Grung from NIDWAN in support of the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) consulted with member states had an intervention to integrate the Indigenous People and People with Disability in the Paris Agreement. 



NIDWAN works for the groups having multiple and intersecting identities and building synergy, both at the grassroots and global level collectively with various organizations and with all relevant stakeholders by cross-movement collaboration.
