NIDWAN Internship is a great way to take the first step towards your career by learning skills, gaining work experience and supporting NIDWAN’s objectives while working with the Underrepresented Groups.

To youth pursuing to step into the world of advocacy and the field of humanitarian, our Internship provides first-hand experience of a day-day working environment. Our Interns will directly work with the team of NIDWAN and will get to attend meetings, conferences, organize physical, virtual events, involve in research, documentation and get exposure to working with international organizations.

The internship period varies from 3 to 6 months and will take place at NIDWAN’s office at Kusunti, Lalitpur, Nepal. Internship can be applied throughout the year but will be accepted based on the need of the organization.

Applicants applying from OUTSIDE NEPAL should already have a visa to stay in Nepal during the Internship Period. NIDWAN will not support visas or any residential requirements. If you are an International Applicant, please specify in your cover letter that you have permission to stay and work in NEPAL.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated commitment to Indigenous women’s, girls’ and LGBTIQ, Person with Disabilities, Dalit, Madheshi and marginalized people’s human rights;
  • Strong research, analysis, writing, editing, and communications skills;
  • Be able to undertand and analyze quantitative and qualitative program information;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Passionate about NIDWAN’s mission, committed to teamwork, and achieving results; and
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills required.
