Situation of Indigenous Women with Disabilities

August Indigenous Peoples' and NIDWAN's month, this august 2021 marks NIDWAN's 5th year of advocacy and lobbying for the rights of the unheard marginalized groups. NIDWAN plans to celebrate this month as it's birth month with different events and programs. NIDWAN has been able to produce this video on the rights of Indigenous Women with disabilities with the support of PAWANKA Fund.

COVID Awareness for Peoples with Disabilities and Indigenous Peoples with Disabilities

With the increasing risk of COVID, taking account the lack of accessible information NIDWAN with support of PAWANKA Fund created an informative video on COVID awareness.

कोभिडको संक्रमण बढिरहेको हालको अवस्थामा आदिवासी जनजाति अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूको जोखिमलाई मध्य नजर गरी राष्ट्रिय आदिवासी जनजाति अपाङ्ग महिला संघ नेपाल (निडवान) ले PAWANKA FUND को सहयोगमा कोभिड सम्बन्धी जानकारी मुलक भिडियो तयार पारेको छ ।

Issues of Indigenous Women with Disabilities from Workshop and Consultation Organized by NIDWAN

National Indigenous Disabled Women Association Nepal (NIDWAN) organized three workshops in the month of December. The workshops were supported by International Disability Alliance (IDA) and Indigenous Person with Disabilities Global Network (IPWDGN) in Kathmandu at Hotel Pension Vasana. This video reflects the major issues and themes discussed in the event.


NIDWAN works for the groups having multiple and intersecting identities and building synergy, both at the grassroots and global level collectively with various organizations and with all relevant stakeholders by cross-movement collaboration.
