Violence against Indigenous Women and Indigenous Women with Disabilities

With the support of Women’s Fund Asia (WFA), NIDWAN conducted a Quantitative research on ‘Violence against Indigenous Women and Indigenous Women with Disabilities, led by Mr. Prabindra Shakya. The research collected data from 210 respondents through Kobo Toolbox composed of Indigenous Women and Indigenous Women with Disabilities from all 7 Provinces of Nepali along with Indigenous Women Rights defenders. The research aimed to assess various kinds of violence faced by women and girls, Indigenous Women and Girls, Indigenous Women and Girls with Disabilities,  their access to justice mechanisms and what needs to be done. The data collected from the research can depict the different forms of violence faced by Indigenous Women and non-indigenous women and those with disabilities.
